Hey guys. Gotta question for you cali people. I have recently earned a job out there working for Autologue Computer Systems, out of Buena Park, CA. I am (obviously) currently in Michigan. I was wondering if you guys can give me an idea of how much housing costs out that way. I am willing to live outside of LA (preferably). I can drive up to about an hour and a half away from where I work. Give me a hand guys, I am really looking forward to being in Cali... you guys seem to have tons of fun out there. Any idea will be considered now. I have this years tax seasons money to move with, and thats it... so I am looking for a decent priced home or apartment or trailer... whatever to move into. I appreciate all your help in advance!!

Around LA and surrounding areas are expensive... Almost double of here. But your in luck! It's only an hour and 45 minutes from bakersfield to buena park! Bakersfield has some of the cheapest housing in southern california. Buddy just had a new 3k square foot home built in a country club housing development for $300k. Whereas a 2 bedroom 1940's home around LA would easily cost that much...

buena park, isn't to bad, were your'e located, you have a hell of a lot of options, being located 10 minutes from 2 major freeways, 5 NS and 91 EW, the 91 is a bitch though, almost anytime of the day. but your location has a lot of options for prices, anything from dirt cheap, to way too f!!king expensive [img]images/graemlins/cussing.gif[/img]. But right down too it, for a descent 3 bedroom house, look to spend at least $500,000 to $750,000, and it could be even higher in certain areas. but being in Cali, you get beautiful women and [img]images/graemlins/beach.gif[/img]

Well.. at first, I have to find something along the lines of a rental. Like maybe a cheap trailer park or cheap apartment. I will (easily in time) be able to afford the house I want, but I need a starter place that is at least two bedroom. I figure I would pester you all about it, since you guys are there. I have done the apartments.com and rent.com thing... cant locate anything decent.

Honestly, as soon as I get my income taxes back this year. I will have my W2's by the end of January, and I file for rapid refund, so early February is my estimated time to leave.
