Re: Need Carfax VIN check

I would like a vin # check as well. If anybody has one, that would be great.

Shorts,
Has he decided if he is going to get a tahoe or jeep?

Re: Need Carfax VIN check

he loves the tahoe we test drove(everybody scream and holler and say, FINALLY I have swayed him out of that F*rd) ...as do i the only riff we see is that its a touch over priced. '99 2dr Sport 4x4 LT 77k $19,900 we won't go over 17,500 on it. and at that, i think we're being generous. the market and online sources say that retails for 16,800 at most. so, if they can't get down to 17,5, we're walking. it does have a warn winch and bumper on it, and i do think the dealer is keeping that price up there as a markup for that equipment. if so, we're going to tell 'em to take the junk off, give us a stock bumper and knock 1-1500 off the price just for that alone.

hopefully they'll come down and sell that Tahoe. its pretty nice, and tim's already been looking at stereo systems to put in it. the tahoe also has a k&n drop in, fancy-pants replacement rear taillights, and of course, the winch and bumper up front.

Re: Need Carfax VIN check

Monica,

2dr tahoe sports are always overpriced because they are rare. Anyways, how many miles are on the vehicle? When i got mine back in 2002, it had 23,150 miles and the sticker was 23,995. We got it down to 22,000. They wouldn't go any lower than that price and on top of it we were trading in the old yukon. 19,900 sounds like a fair price IF it has low mileage. What was the vehicle used for since it has a winch and a heavy duty bumper? Maybe just for looks. It sounds like a kick @$$ truck and i like hearing other people buy the sport models. Get that price down to what you will pay and then hopefully everything works out.
BTW, do you have any pictures of the truck

Re: Need Carfax VIN check

Yeah $19,900 sounds high, there was one last week on Ebay I could have had for $16K, with 54K miles on it, but it was too soon for me and also it was an Ohio (rust belt) car. Even $17,500 might be a little high, but if it is exactly what you want, whaddya gonna do?
