Steering Column Problems

Recently I had a 4-6" SUperlift put on my truck, ever since then the steering wheel squeeks when i turn. It sounds lik it is he plastic on the wheel rubbing the plastic on the column. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? It is horribly annoying, any help would be very much appreciated.

Re: Steering Column Problems

My Dad has the same problem on his truck. It stops doing it when it warms up. From what I have been told, you cannot remove the steering wheel because of the airbag and the part that needs replacing is a few hundered dollars.

You can try spraing a little lub in betwen the steering wheel and the colum to see if that helps. Other than that you will have to live with it.
