paging jason

Jason-

When i have my cb radio turned on and when i say something into the
microphone, there is a loud "bump" that goes through the subwoofer. I checked
and found no wires using the same ground or fuse. What could be causing this.
I want this to work properly as i am driving to florida for spring break and
michigan over winter break. Thanks

Re: paging jason

Do any of the wires come close to each other or touch each other?

Re: paging jason

They might be close together... I take it that affects it... Maybe i will look in the next couple of days and see if i can reroute some of the wires

Re: paging jason

Is your cb always on, like when you start the car it turns on? Or do they work where they only turn on when you say something?

Re: paging jason

pa mode and cb mode use the same power cord? the reason why you could be getting the bump is because the "switch over" from pa to cb. When I do live shows, we never turn off/on any speaker until the power knob is turned to the lowest point. But when you cb comes on, its comes on at full-throttle. See if there is something you can do about that.
Also check and make sure the wires arent crossing anywhere. Check and see if your wire to the sub is a shielded cable or check and see if it draws enough power so it doesnt have to be shielded.
