What do you guys think?

I am pretty new to off-roading, I know some [bleep], but you guys prolly know a hell of a lot more than me. What kinda truck or SUV do you think I should be looking at? I want something prolly with about a 6" lift and 35-37 inch tires, and atleast a 350. Other than that I am looking for ideas. Of and this is definately not for just show, it will get a pounding every weekend, i promise. thanks.

What kind of off-roading are you going to be doing? Trails, rocks, mud, sand, ...etc

Re: What do you guys think?

IFS is not made for rock crawling. It can handle up to about 35" tire. It can handle mud fine but there is no locker for the front so you can only have 3 wheels spinning all the time.
If you want a 350 then you will have to get a 1998 or older truck because they now put 327s in the new body style trucks. Which is still a good motor but some people will tell you different.

Re: What do you guys think?

Well I have a 99 SUV with 37's. No problems as of yet. I expect some down the road. If you want something to "pound" then get something just for that. Mine is a daily driver and is treated as such. I do love to get out and tear it up everyonce and a while. I just know the limitations.

Oh and 6" will not get you 37's unless you plan on pounding the fender a whole lot.
