Out of curiosity...how different are...

GMs IFS 8.25" gear sets and Chryslers 8.25" gears? Aside from being two different axles, what are the physical differences? What about the carriers? I guess I coulda searched online but, I'm lazy today and I gotta get going to run errands [img]images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

Nah, pinion heights are different and so are the angles of the teeth. IE: hypoid angle is different.

I think if you were creative you could make it work... but I think it'd be cheaper (but maybe not easier) to stick a 9.2" front axle in there.
