My own electrical woo\'s

I parked my truck in a garage here at school. When i turned the truck on, everything was fine. When i flipped the switch for the lights, my radar detector and kenwood cd player which flips open when power turns on, both turned off. Also, when the lights are on when the vehicle is off, you get a buzzing noise. The truck was still on, but auxillary stuff were off. They quickly turned back on... I thought that was weird... I got on a dark road and turned on the hellas. The same thing happened again. Could this be an overload on the electrical system? I ordered a mean green alternator on friday, so it could be the alt crapping out, not sure though. Please let me know if you have ever heard of this before.

Re: My own electrical woo\'s

Check your + battery cable at the battery. Pull it off and take the metal out of the rubber covering on the terminal. Chances are it will be filled with a nice white powder, clean it all out and you should be good to go. Remember, you have to take the thing completely apart, you can't see the corrosion from the outside...

Re: My own electrical woo\'s

Hey Yukon I was up in your neck of the woods last week Nov 14-17. I was in ROund Lake. I was staying with a friend who works for Baxter Pharm. It was nice up there. Not too cold at the time I wsa there. We took the train into Chicago and caught a Bulls game. That would be the last time I take that slow ass train.

Ryan,

Round Lake is not to far away. This winter has been unbelieveable up until yesterday... Has been 60 and 70's for a good month. I agree, the train is slower than an old man driving a cadillac on 20's. I have never heard of Baxter Pharm. before. Is it located in Round Lake as well?

Yea Baxter Pharmaceuticals is either in Round Lake or next to it. All those damn Lake something or other towns up there. One cool thing about the train was that you could drink on it. I am not sure if you are allowed to but lots of people were.

I drink on the train all the time... I don't think you are allowed to, but no one will stop someone because they are.
