I\'m stumped

When I got back home from college today, I was informed that it was running a little rough. Well, after I drove it, I found that it idles funny, and it wants to stall when accelerating, especially if you really get on it. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Re: I\'m stumped

Tried changing out the fuel filter. Helped a bit, but still tries to stall out. Also noticed that when I really get on it, there is kind of ratcheting sound that I can feel in my feet. Not quite sure what it is, but it doesn't sound good, definitely.

Re: I\'m stumped

Took the truck to a mechanic and he said that the headers may have been starting to melt the spark plug wires, thus causing it to miss. Then, when I was marking the wires for removal, noticed that cylinder #5's wire wasn't attached. Reattached it, drove it for a while. Little missing if any at all. Another $20 down the drain for something that could have been fixed easily.
