This is just my opinion but don't lift it if you are afraid of gas milage. 35's, reagrdless of brand, don't get get great wear so you will have to repalce expensive tires. Lift the truck if your needs require it, I am speaking about offroad performance. If it is a pavement pounder stuff will wear out quick depending one what kind of lift you put on.

4.56 gears would put the setup near stock, I believe. If you do lift it take the time to do the gear swap. $.02

with 4.10 gears, 35" cooper STTs, the 4l60E and a 4.3L i get about 14.5 highway 13city. now bear in mind thats with a less efficient TBI set-up and the baby 6cyl engine. the engine is always forking pretty hard.

if you go any past 33" tires you'll want to re-gear.
on ym Z-71 with a locker and 33s i could break them loose in 1st and chirp them in second. but with a load in the bed you could feel the difference over the 265s

I'd buy stock in the gas company.
