1995 K1500 5.7 Intake Leak Question

Got a 1995 K1500 with the 5.7 V8 and 120k miles. Well kept, etc., but had to replace the intake manifold gasket early this summer due to an oil leak. No problem (other than the water fitting breaking off due to rot), back on, runs fine, everything torqued and loctited. All of a sudden I'm seeing a reduction in power of maybe 20% and doesn't have that kick down power. Noticed I'm losing antifreeze but no external leaks, no white smoke, no antifreeze in the oil, but oil consumption jumped where it didn't use before. I can smell sometimes a slight smell of antifreeze around the motor. Have heard I've probably got a leaking intake manifold gasket again but wouldn't this more likely be a head gasket leak? Any quick and dirty ways to find out? I tried removing the spark plugs, rigged up a fitting and pressurized the cylinders looking for bubbles in the radiator. Nothing. Also heard you can remove PCV valve, introduce some propane from a propane torch and listen for engine change. Trying that today. It idles sometimes around 1300 rpm instead of 700, especially when cold.

check the heater hose as it goes into the manifold. the cheap plastic piece screws up. Mine did around 120k.
