front axel qwesgen

i have a 84 chevey 4x with a 10 bolt front and i have a dana 44 on an old truck in my yard bowth same year i think and bowth 3/4 ton but im just wonderinf what the difrence is betwen theys axels, is one stronger than the other? ther bowth 8 lug, is it worth swaping or should i just whate till i find a dana 60?, eney help will be mutch apresheated

you're better off just leaving the 10 bolt in there. they're about the same so, itd be easier just to take it easy on the 10 and save money for your d60

Save for the 60. All that money you put into an axle like that, and you could have one that doesn't need to be upgraded to make it strong. If I knew where you were located, I could sell you my 60. [img]images/graemlins/deal.gif[/img]

Id put the 44 in there. then put some warn axle shafts and ctm ujoints and your about as strong as stock dana60, or atleast thats what they say.

if it was me Id toss it in there. its a pretty dang straight foward swap
