Slack in Steering

I can turn my steering wheel left and right a good bit(more than normal) before it begins to turn. I'm sure with over 105,000 miles the pittman and idler arm need replacing. My question is, is there any kind of adjustment to the steering box or somewhere else to take slack out of the steering? Or, am I just going to have to break down and get everything replaced. The truck doesn't pull and the tires have always worn evenly. Just trying to buy some time. There doesn't seem to be a lot of slack from looking underneath the truck. Thanks.
