intermittent wipers

Hey guys and gals,

My wipers are not operating intermittently. I turn the wiper control to the first setting and the wiper wipes and then the delay then wipes again and the delay to the next wipe is shorter. When I turn the control to the higher intermittent settings it just wipes like it was put all the way to the low setting. I had this problem before, while the truck was under warranty and the dealer replaced a (PULSE CONTROL MODULE ), and the problem was fixed. This was about a year and a half ago and the problem is back. I am thinking that it is the same root cause, but my question is where is the PULSE CONTROL MODULE located and is it a PITA to replace?

Re: intermittent wipers

If you need a pulse control module for that I can hook you up. They are a breeze to change - just three bolts on the front of your wiper motor. If you need one I stock them all here at my store. Give me the year make and model of your truck and I can hook you up. Most of the early to mid 90's trucks take the same module, part number 12463090. If its that module, I can sell it for less than 30 bucks plus shipping (normally under 8-10 bucks depending on location.) Let me know if you need one, ok?

Re: intermittent wipers

Hey there is a recall out for a 1994 - 1997 truck or suburban. Its a windshield wiper motor that fails due to a cracked solder joints on the control circuit board. Take it in and they will fix it.

Re: intermittent wipers

Hey Krayzie

Sorry for the late reply but this storm crap has had me tied up here on the west coast. Gotta love pre planning for a storm that doesn't do anything, but anyway, I am definatly interested in getting a new PCM Please PM me with the purchase information and let me know if you can take credit cards or checks gold, silver yada yada yada for the unit. Also why do these units fail like this. The last one I had lated like a year and a half.

Thanks
