Re: RCD suspension lifts

I don't know much about them, but I have a buddy that's putting one on a 95 Tahoe in a couple of weeks (waiting for the Tbar tool). Hopefully, I'll get to be there when the install happens. I'll try to let you know how it goes.

Re: RCD suspension lifts

I was just about to ask about the RCD lifts. I'm thinking either the 4" or 6" for my truck.

Re: RCD suspension lifts

I've heard very bad things about them. CV joint angles and the spacers they use to make the CV's sort of work. Guy who owns the 4x4 store I exclusively frequent installed ONE kit, was not at all impressive with it, and made the guy sign a waver form saying he (truck/RCD owner) wouldn't hold him (store owner) accountable if it broke. He put it on and like 2 months later the guy called him and told him it was broken. CV joint snapped on the long tube side and the diff housing cracked.

I trust this guy's opinion a lot, he really knows his [censored]. I talked SFA swap with him, he's done like 5 of them. Makes the necessary bracketry and stearing himself on his brother's CNC shop. Also makes a bracket to put the later 3 bolt idler arm on the 2 bolt idler arm GM IFS trucks. If he says it's junk, it's junk.

Oh yeah, he also builds Ted Nugent's trucks. He builds and races tough trucks, and has a really sweet Ranger PreRunner he runs on the Silver Lake Dunes. Also has a late 70's GM 3/4 ton mud machine with like 10" of lift and 39's.

Chrome don't getcha home.
