A 2 parter, money & sfa 2wd C4500

I'd like to know what year they stoped making the 2wd SFA 88-98 body style farm trucks (I guess 4500's). I've got a friend that wants one to make a tow truck for the drag strip with it.

And

I'd like to ask all you college goers and under paid military people - When you have to get crafty (legally though) to make about $500 quick, how do you do it? donate blood & plasma? clean windshields on the highway? Wear some fluzy type clothes and stand on the corner of Pimp blvd. and Hoe st.?J/K All kidding aside, I need to make some cash - Any advise?

Hmmmm, I'm glad it works for you - but I don't think anybody wants to see a 255lb 6'3" un-coordinated gorrilla footed guy fumble across the runway/stage. I'm not shaving those sensitive parts either. Maybe I'm wrong though, I've had a few girls in my life request a tease dance (they never got it though). I'm just too big to be moving like that, it'd be dangerous.

Ummmm............I know they made those trucks in that body style after 98. Of course, you could still get the 88-98 style trucks in 1 tons in 2000. The Crash Fire Rescue guys I worked next to in the Marines had a 2000 Chevy 4500 like you described. 6.5L diesel, "tall cab", picket bed, and a leaf sprung beam front axle with like 19.5" rims and big truck tires.

When I was in the Marines I went out and got a second job. For 1 year I worked at a golf course on the weekends. Last 2 years I was in I washed and abused cars for Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. Right now I'm underpaid and a civilian, so I'm looking for a better main job and also going to go back to work for a Golf Course I worked at in HS on the weekends.

Nothing real fast. Donating blood will get you $50 or so, but it'd take you a while doing that to get $500. Got anything laying around that isn't doing much and doesn't have any sentimental value? Sorry, no good thoughts on my part.

Chrome sucks
285/75R16, 255/85R16, & 305/70R16 fit on a stock GM IFS fullsize 4x4 truck when on the stock 16x7 rims.

Re: A 2 parter, money & sfa 2wd C4500

AJM, I thought the blood thing would be more profitable (thought I saw a commercial that mentioned $200 a month), I guess not - Oh well. I have sold so much of my stuff to make my life/marrage work it's rediculuous. I've sold things like a camper, a shell, assorted axles, junk trucks, working trucks, my 90 model nearly complete SFA swap truck, tools, knives, guns. And I've vowed to never sell anything else unless it's for me. I guess I could sell something in this case, but there's nothing left I'm willing to part with.

BTW, if you're still looking for a stock set for your AK, I've got recommend K-var. They've got some good 40 round mags for $20 among other stuff. A good board for any gun lover is http://ak.ar15.com, they cover AR's, AK's, handguns, and anything else that goes boom.

Thanks for the replys
later,
KS2

Re: A 2 parter, money & sfa 2wd C4500

peacock, The driveway mechanic idea is good, I'll need to look into that one. That might even kick me in the tail to just quit my job and start my business already.

OTOH, the swimmers thing I might consider, but if you go to any place here and leave a deposit you'll go to jail for indecent exposure, and you'll probably have to see a court ordered shrink (we don't have a "bank")

The only reason I'm still straped for cash is that I'm sortof hesitant to "jump on" anything. I'm waiting to see if I get a job I applied for at the army ammunition plant, and if not, I'll open the shop. The ammo job is cool, I'd get to drive a big front loader converted into a bomb hauler out to the disposal site for $19.50 an hour!

money

There's nowhere you can sell your body fluids around here. It'd cost more to drive somewhere to do it than it would for what you got out of it.

Jobs are rare, 15% of the people are on full-blown welfare and 52% of families have foodstamps.

I have one of the highest paying part-time jobs at $7/hour as a Systems Administrator at MTU (I make more than the manager at Burger King). Plus, I have awesome hours--work when I feel like it.

Whoring yourself out isn't very profitable around here. There are five males for every female at MTU. Homosexuals that do make their presence known usually get a lot of hate mail and verbal threats. So even in desperation whoring yourself out isn't going to hack it.

People I talk to either get a whole bunch of jobs or start selling stuff to make money. The more thrifty ones offer services or teach things (there was one kid teaching Tai Chi). Computer repair is a big one. One kid at school was offering oil changes for $20 at one time.

"The difference between a yooper and a lowper is that a yooper oil change involves just changing the filter whereas a lowper oil change involves just changing the oil."
