GM\'s new 502 BB
1 Attachment(s)
I was wondering if anyone out in chevy land has done a transplant with the 502 cbb into a newer 90's and up 4x4. If so was it worth it and if it was what how long and how many mods had to be done.

Re: GM\'s new 502 BB
here is a link to a 550hp 502 for $4999. Or they have a 600hp 454 for $5999. Go to their homepage and check out their engine specials a 460hp 454 for $2999. This place will build to your liking.

Re: GM\'s new 502 BB
I think it sounds like BigWilly is gonna get lucky. So is that 8 gallons to the mile or 8 miles to the gallon BigWilly. I had a 72 chevy low short wide once, had a 402 nothing to wild but it was enough to get into trouble with. I miss that slow deep rumble that would through your head back, into the rear window when the hammer was set down. Oh she would hit 3500 rpm and be walken sideways down the street, man I miss having a big block. Well let us know if you get lucky BigWilly.

Re: GM\'s new 502 BB
There is a company out there that makes kits like you want for the 88-98 style trucks, but I forget who and I dunno if they make the conversion kit for the 99 and up style trucks like yours.
Also, that's a lot of power. That thing has to much power for your tranny (if you have automatic) and axles. If you have an auto tranny you'll need to ditch that 4L60E for a 4L80E, and those 1/2 ton axles just aren't going to stand up to it. http://bbs.off-road.com/wwwthreads_u...686734-Sig.jpg Chrome sucks 285/75R16, 255/85R16, & 305/70R16 fit on a stock GM IFS fullsize 4x4 truck when on the stock 16x7 rims. |

I think (Post) In my case stands for (Piece.Of.[censored].Truck) I smell lemons, hey does anyone else smell that? Fresh squeezed 4L60E . Oh man do I feel dumb it just hit me, crap I have been servicing the tranny with ATF!! and a fresh filter!! man To think I should have been using lemon juice with lots of pulp. I guess that would also apply for the 5300 superknocker engine. I new I should have taken some time to read the OM.
