Name posts better

Maybe if we name our posts alittle better it will be easyer to search for a topic. I my self have already started a post "Help". But that is not a good name for a post. Just a thought. It may save some repete post topics.

Re: Name posts better

i don't think it matters whether the keyword is in the subject heading or the actual post. it's kinda like the internet. or atleast it's works like that when i've used it.

Re: Name posts better

I agree with the posts and giving them more meaning. I tend to be as descriptive as possible with out running on and on. But personally I think that the search function needs to be more functional. Such as searching only the post title. Also it would be great if lets say you search for "Actuator" and only displaying the whole thread as one item... not every occurence in that post. I.E If the title says "actuator" anyone that replies shows as a result. Why not only show that one whole thread.
but Hey I didnt write this software so I dont know if its possible.

Re: Name posts better

When I search it brings up all the posts with the word Im searching for, but if the post name doesnt have anything to do with what I typed in it just takes longer to search. And I think thats why people just start a new post. Cause there to lazy to look through alot of posts. It was just a drinking idea I had.

Re: Name posts better

There's several reasons for inefficient searching. A big one is listing your stuff in your signature as text rather than included in the photo. If included in the photo, it doesn't affect the search engine but if it isn't included in photo, like most still are if the sig contains the keyword the search is looking for, it'll bring that thread up even if it's completely irrelevant to search keyword just because the search engine doesn't distinguish between posts and signatures.

Other reason is the unclear titles.
