Cherry bomb mufflers

Anyone have any experiance with cherry bomb mufflers, not the glass pack? I found a good deal on them and was wondering if they are just flowmaster knockoffs for half the price or are they crap and im getting what i pay for.

Re: Cherry bomb mufflers

A friend of mine has one and it flows better but doesnt have the sound that a flow has. Save up for a flow, thats what Im doing.

Re: Cherry bomb mufflers

My guess would be that it is only good for a bunch of noise. Go with a flowmaster, Gibson...anything like that if you want some performance with that tone.

Re: Cherry bomb mufflers

My shop teacher had one on his 89 Chevy, sounded good, but not near as deap as a Flowmaster. If you looking for loud, take of the muffler, and take a couple hits with a pick axe, my friend did that with the muffler on his 79 F-150 while he was waiting for his FLowmasters to get there.

Re: Cherry bomb mufflers

they're a disposable muffler like everything else that is made of ****metal and aluminized these days.

"i remember when the mufflers outlasted the tubing."

i've always liked the sound of glasspacks/silencers. granted they're useless after fifteen hours, but i still like the sound.

do they make a repackable stainless glasspack? that'd be cool. i'd do that just because i like the sound. the packing in my ATV's silencer is changed every six to eight hours.
