OT-just want to brag about my girl............

The following is an exerpt from a recent email from my girl, Tania. It is also one of the many reasons I'm head over heels in love with her. So I want to brag.

"Oh my god babe I had so much fun today, we went way up in the mountains in some 4x4 trucks and drove in a forest (I was a bit scared but I did it) then we went through a river. I got my truck stuck and the water started coming through my windows. We had to tow the truck back but I didnt get into trouble cause I was just following orders. I do have one slight problem that when I got out of the truck into the water I got soaking wet. It was VERY cold. I really think that no matter how much we need money we are never going to sell the Blazer and I promise never to get it stuck in a river. Love You. I have army again tomorrow so Im going to wash up, get some dinner and go to bed. You are just a sweety. I cant wait to talk to you and tell you about my driving.
Love T"

I feel all warm and fuzzy. Anyways, she's in the New Zealand Army Territorials (sorta like our Reserves) and that was a few weeks back when she was getting her Heavy Transport Rating. The truck? A UniMog.

Now if I could just talk her outta wanting a Wrangler. She's never seen a K5 with the top off.

Geese, she had water coming in the windows of a unimog? What was she in the mississippi?. Seriously, those things are 8 feet in the air! Anyway, when does this whole long distance thing end? Is she coming here? You going there? We gonna see any more pics of you on cage equipped ponies?

Re: OT-just want to brag about my girl............

Yep, it was a Mog. I'm not sure what river she is, but she said the Mountains, so it might have been the Selwyn. I was in it, but that was far downstream from the mountains. Maybe the Avalon, I'm not really certain.

I have no clue when the long distance thing ends. We were hoping it'd be over by now, but when the whole money/debt reality thing hit us a few months back we realized there was no way in he$l we could afford to do it right now. So we're just trying to pay off our debts and get more money going. Soon enough.

No, no more picture of caged horses. Murphy is a LONG, LONG ways away from here. She loves horses though, so the Blazer's probably going to pull more than a couple horse trailers around in the future.

I don't know... those new Rubicon Wranglers are looking mighty sweet!! Dana 44's in the front and rear!!

Due to the current economic situation, the light at the end of the
tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Yeah, but it's still a heep. Itsy bitsy, leaky, loud road noise, and lots more I don't like.

Yeah, it isn't easy going, but we're sticking it out.
