Re: Waylons Gone :(

I couldn't remember who he was until my dad reminded me about The Dukes of Hazard and The General Lee. To bad. 63 is to young to die, if you make it that long in the first place.

Waylon was my favorite singer. I've been listening to him since I was a kid. What a day.

Yes Waylon was one of my favorite singers, This comes staight out of the blue I didn't know about it until I overheard someone dying on the TV, looked up and saw then showing a vido clip of him singing, everyone in Waffle house was quiet for a while

Man, I heard it earlier today. He and Willie were the real deal.

Re: Waylons Gone :(

yeah, it's sad news...the worst part is there will be 20 other candy-coated jacka$$' that would not know country music if it bit 'em, trying to take his place. One of these days the only way you will be able to hear REAL country music, will be on tape or cd's.....not on a stage. It's not far away.

Re: Waylons Gone :(

EXACTLY-I love country music but people don't understand the difference. These days all that I ever hear on the radio is "contemporary country". I just don't want to listen to this new crap, Play me the song about a raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamblin man, put ole Jim Bean in my hand.....
