Utah requires all vehicle of a certain year to have their inspections done at the official government inspection site. Well this year was 1993s so I took my vehicle in. I passed the emissions with flying colors but when the safety inspection came in, whoa did i get it. I didnt realize that the safety can be done anywhere and only the emissions needs to be done at the state facility. The inspector said that my body lift was illegal. Its only a 2" and the "book" says you can have 3". Then he told me that my bumper was illegal because its not OEM. The book only states that the bumper must be equal to or greater in strength as OEM. My tires stuck out to far. Ok, I only have 16x7s with stock back spacing. How can that be? I then proceeded to point out all of the vehicles in the employee parking lot and questioned how the employees vehicles violate numerous laws that he said my truck did. I also asked him how the Utah DMV would feel about employees "pencil whipping" their own vehicles safety inspections. I took down his name and well what do you know, my truck magically passed the safety inspection! What an idiot.

Im so glad that i don't have any inspection in Kansas, My truck would never pass an emissions inspection seeing how i have not converter on it[img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif[/img] Yeah isnt' it amazing[img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif[/img] how your truck passed when you pointed that out to him...some of those guys can be real dicks...they let the power go to there head.

Move to Michigan.[img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif[/img] I hate the snow, ice, slush, road salt, and cold, but man, you can't beat the vehicle registration rules. There are NO inspections of any kind, emissions or vehicle.[img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif[/img] All you have to do is fork over the cash to register a vehicle and have basic insurance on it. If you want to register your so rusted out you can see through it on all sides, blows toxic smoke, won't go over 35mph POS 73 Land Barge, go ahead! By all means!
