I did a search and couldn't find anything on this topic...
Anyway, I got backed into a school yesterday and my front bumper on my '02 Silverado is in need of replacing. I can either put a new GM one on or get a different model. To replace the existing one I was quoted at $820. I have thought about purchasing a new one and installing it myself because of the $500 deductible. The yunkyards around here don't have anything. I thought for this price I could get a good aftermarket one. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any websites that I should take a look at? Thanks.

geese you backed into a school??? Damn your lucky you didn't total your truck. I hear some people swear by ranch hand. But TxFireman has a totally bad azz bumper buildt by Rio Dell Grill Guards. But it might be overkill for you. But it is relitivally inexpencive.

F()CK getting a stock bumper man, you have $500 to spend on a front end replacement check out all of the sites until you find something you like.

I to agree that you should get an aftermarket one. Maybe something like TJM or Ranchand. There have to be others out there. Just go to yahoo, and search for your truck. Good luck.

I live a couple hours away from the Ranchhand factory, so EVERYONE around here has them. I was going to get one myself until I researched it. Very nice front end replacement, but (yes, I've said this before...still think so) it's like paying for a name brand.

Check out Ruff Stock. Bad website, but order a catalog or something for free. They're in Uvalde, TX. http://www.ruffstock.com/ I had a friend put one on a Dodge, and I seriously thought he removed the Ranchhand tag from one of their bumpers. Supposedly paid a lot less for it. How tough do you want to go? There's always Reunel or Trailready/Road Armor. Also very expensive, but at least you get several hundred pounds worth of steel in return.

I don't have a Ranch Hand bumper. I have a full replacement though. It is made by Del Rio grill guards. They are a small co. based out of a ranch supply store in Del Rio, Tx. You can reach 'em at (830)-774-4404. The cost for one is 275, unless you get it customized like I had mine done. I had diamond plate used on the top and sides vrs. the smooth plate, and I had mine extended about 2' further out. Other than that they are the same. That cost me a total of 325. It is a C channel bumper vrs pipe. The square tuning is on a 1/4 turn vrs some co.'s that put it straight. I'll see if I have a couple of pix so you can get a look at it.
