Freshen that thread - Burb Lift

Now that we realize I don't want to rip my IFS out of my $40k truck. Thanks teal for the Fabtech info.

Who has some experience with 6-8" lifts on the 2000-2002 Burbs? How about warranty problems? (yes I know it'll void it above a certain height) What about transmission problems? Anything else, I'm forgetting?

Re: Freshen that thread - Burb Lift

I think if I was to go with a an ifs lift, Id go with ranchos 4" kit, it seems to be the strongest kit out there, I havent heard any problems or complaints with it so far, this is a plus when your working with your venerable front end, it is also I guess closer to 6" life, 5.75 or somthing like that

35s on some 8" wheels should fit under it farily well

Re: Freshen that thread - Burb Lift

nay
I dont like them, hmmm but I guess I did get one anyways for the price they realy cant be beat, mine was just over 100bucks for the trailmaster kit, came with everything but the rear bumper brackets. I have drove the truck hard since I put the kit under it and have had no problems and doubt I will.

I think there worth the money but I dont know if I want to put a bodylift under such a new vehicle like yours

Re: Freshen that thread - Burb Lift

I think if I wanted anything taller than 35s on a new burbon Id get the rancho4" kit then a 2" body lift then maybe some 38" tires

Re: Freshen that thread - Burb Lift

So is 6" lift enough for 38's?

Re: Freshen that thread - Burb Lift

ummmmmm maybe with some cut out flares,

if you used the maxium amount of lift ther rancho would give that would be 5.5- 5.75 then a 2" or 3" body lift so that would be 7.75-8.75" of lift, then mgith have to trim some of the bumper. I think 6" would be just alittle short for 38s.

anyone else here have any opions body lifts plus suspesion, jeeeeeeeeeeesh, heck leave it stock

Re: Freshen that thread - Burb Lift

if you want 38s, run a 6" suspension and 3" body lift. otherwise, hit pro comp up for an 8" suspension lift(not recommended be me)

Re: Freshen that thread - Burb Lift

Why not reccomended? Too high, not your preference, don't like pro-comp?

I am not into body lift so I'm either going with 6" or 8"
