Deals on Brush Guards?

Ok, so my friend is in the marker for a brush guard/tail light guards. Any suggestions on where to get a good deal? Its a 98 4 Runner, yes the same one that beat me, but hopefully these will weigh him down a little .

Well since your located in Cal. try performanceproducts. They carry tons of diff. grille guard/tail light guards. Also try pepboys. I guess they carry westin, a very awesome brand.

Re: Deals on Brush Guards?

Personally, I don't think Westin is "a very awesome brand.".

I have the step bars and grill guard (black) and they are rusted to hell. I replaced them under warranty once, but didn't feel like doing it every 2 years so I gave up. I would like to get them painted with either POR-15 or spray-on bedliner.

Their supposedly super tough powder coating is a joke. If I get a chance I'll post a pic of the step bars tomorrow.

Here is a pic of the rusted Westins.

And, no it's not a Photshop job.
If I were going to all that trouble I would have fixed the dent, and maybe waxed it

Re: Deals on Brush Guards?

I think the dent adds character and the step bars would have to go. Nice truck though Jax

Re: Deals on Brush Guards?

Thanks guys.
I need the step bars though. The g/f is only 5'3" and needs something to step on to get in. Notice I said "step bars" 'cuz I don't plan on getting any protection from them. Maybe they should be listed as one of those "convenience items".
