tire sizes

Hey guys,
I was wondering if you can clear LT28575R16's on a 1990 full size 4x4, with all stock suspension. I currently have LT26575R16's and in the front they come right close to the rubber and plastic peices that wrap around from below and behind the bumper. I would just like to know if they will clear and turn from lock to lock with no rubbing. Thanks.

Re: tire sizes

on stock wheels ? YES
you may need to slightly turn up the t-bars a little
most people remove that air dam thing all together or at least trim the lowest corner

Re: tire sizes

285's will fit on your truck. I have a 94 Z71, when it was stock I ran 285's on the stock wheels (16x7) and had absolutely NO rubbing. and i ran the black plastic air dam. however maybe some trucks come a little "saggy" from the dealer so maybe some rub and some don't. but yes, you can do it on stock rims only. width isn't the key, its backspacing, 5.25" will work (stock rims)
