building a stoker 2.8 need info

Ok the motor is at the machine shop getting bored .75mm over (to match the 3.1 pistons, for some reason they come in metric over sizes) and the super charger is soon to be on its wat to be totaly rebuilt. Does that sound right to every one? getting a 3.1 crank, and 3.1 pistons for .75mm over bore? can anyone geuss what compression ratio that would give me? also I will be changing my cam again this time going to a blower cam. Does a holley 2 barrel 500cfm so alright for this motor? If you have any advice one building this I could really use it. Thanks guys

Hey allterrain,

Why didn't you just spend the money on a 305? I pitched my 2.8 for a 283, and now I am thinking of upgrading to a 305 out of an '82-'92 Camaro. From what I've read you can only go so far with a 2.8 and it still won't compare to a V8. Just a question, not tryin' to ruffle your feathers. Have you also checked out the website?

Re: building a stoker 2.8 need info

cool, I'll check um out. I kinda like messing around with something different, anyone can drop a v8 in an s10, but its not very often that you get to see a 2.8 with a supercharger on it. That and not haveing the weight of a 350 is an advantage also. Anyone else have any suggesstions on this motor? thanks for the help
