30\'s on an 86? Will it work

i was going to put 30 super swampers on my blazer and i was wondering what i have to do to accomplish this, and can i keep my original 4X4 rims

The 30 should fit fine on the stock rim, you will have some rubbing on the frame as well as the fender wells, so you may need to trim the fender wells to eliminate the rubbing there. Personally I'd recommend something like a bfg mud terrain because they last longer and have better road manners then a super swamper would.

i'm running 30's on my truck right now, and i have no problem whatsoever, how wide are the tires you plan to install?

AS long as the 30" Super Swampers aren't over 10" wide, they won't rub if mounted on stock S10 wheels. They will not wear as good as a BFG or a more street-oriented tire, but kick ass Off-Road.
Maybe pick up some late-model S10 4x4 wheels.
