Code #15

Hey fellas anbody know anything about a Code #15 engine coolant sensor. I drive a 88 GMC (Good Mountain Climber) 4.3 TB injected. The truck dose not run hot at all. When im off road boggin the truck will sometime start running like crap. I unhook the battery and proceed on with out problems. This only happen every month or so. The truck acts like it has a fuel systems problem to me. I put a new in-line fuel filter on with no help. I think it might be the O2 sensor. This is not a big problem, I just thought I would ask some of you high speed mechanics out there. Thanks

Re: Code #15

If it is the same as an '89 S-10 then the #15 means that the ECM coolant sensor (2 wires near thermostat) is indicating low temp. Maybe its connections are bad?
On the passenger side you have the coolant sensor for the gauge ( 1 wire).
