high $ 4x4\'s

I'm not one for saying anything bad about different makes of 4x4's but..Ill try not to say any names. Me and the wife and kids went to the dunes again and low and behold there was a group of high dollar 4x4's (Roaving the Range) and my wife was shock to (Discover) the price of theses things.
Now for the best part..I was driving throught the hills justa havin a good ol' time and when we doubled back here is this group of cute (kinda)little SUV trying to get started and using 2 way radios cause 3 of them where getting buried . Wife said look at that (there using radios?).
Not a bad idea i guess, and as for power, they lined up to race and I could'nt leave this alone and jump in on this along with a guy driving a $500 Bronco and we take off and leave them sitting, well kinda .
They finish but after a couple races and a couple beatins',with a $68000 base price they could at least give these things some wabbles. I do appologise if I offended anyone but this I could'nt resist..

Re: high $ 4x4\'s

before someone flys off the handle..The point I was trying to make is be very proud of our little 2.8's and 4.3's, Alot of Off-Road magazines praise the high buck rigs and always seem to knock the s-10's.
So ahead and knock them I don't care, my $1300 investment cant out run and out climb the expencive ones..
Thank you , I'll get off my soap box now.. lol

Re: high $ 4x4\'s

That's a great story, actually. It's amazing that these people spend such high $$$ to get a 4x4 and barely use it, or for that matter DON'T KNOW HOW!

I've owned a F*rd Ranger, Toyota 4-cylinder and an S-10 4x4. Hated the Ranger, loved the Toyota's durability (hated the four banger), and have the S-10 beat the cr*p out of it (love the motor's power, hate the lack of pre-runner stuff for it). It all comes down to driver skill after a while anyway.

Re: high $ 4x4\'s

So much for driver ability..just got back from the dunes and goofed something up..lol Trying to get those good ego-boosting air shots, got a great pic (so my wife says)but sounds like my transfer case is pissed at me..lol makin alsorts of raqchet..and half to re-allighn the fender ,but still drove it 30 miles home with no trouble.
Now thats a tuff little truck. The tire went to far up and dented the inner fender welland popped out the fender,so no big deal.
Well, off to go crawl under it and go looking.
