Sway-A-Way

Does anyone have the Sway-A-Way torsion bars on their truck? I know that they are discontinued, but I was wondering if anyone had them. If so, how are they holding up? How much lift did you get out of them (also do you have them cranked or not)? How is the wear on your front-end components (do the sway-a-way still increase the angle on your ball joints and c/v joints)? I am thinking about scouring and trying to find some as opposed to cranking up the factory ones, because I really want at least 2 inches of lift and don't want to screw up the front-end. Thanks for the help.

And, I'm pretty sure he has a line on where you can still get ahold of some.

Re: Sway-A-Way

My ears are tingling.. So, you want some barz huuu?? Lets see, im on my second set now.. (Don't ask what happened to the first, user error, weight of truck, high centered on big angry rock, U shaped metal) Tells you how good they are because I bought a second set.. I also ran the stock bars cranked and the HD GM bars for some time.. These by FAR are the best.. I have mine cranked 2" over normal ride height and they have been holding well.. Don't think you will get much more than that without affecting your CV's.. Mine started to bind with any more.. Less bottoming than cranked stock bars and not as rough as the HD's.. Search back in past threads about this and I have talked a lot about them.. E me back channel for the contact.. Send an email to SAW and tell them you want the second gen S-10 bars NOW.. They are working on a new set but are not getting a fire started under them.. YET..
