A lot of the guys that come in here from time to time are from Michigan... They have more various info than I gave you in the other thread I'm sure. Plus they get a few trail runs together once in a while...

Re: wheelin in michigan

My regular wheeling spot is the Mounds in Mt. Morris. I have been to a few other spots... My favorite and I am sure Tim will agree with me is Silver Lake Sand Dunes. I am always up for a drive if you have a good favorite spot not too far from me..

Re: wheelin in michigan

I'm waiting for the dunes to open on April 1st...I'm there..lol Also the state trails near Baldwin are real nice , there are some tricky spots if you get off the beatin path but the mail trails are great for a stock rig.. and an s-10 are perfect because of the size..There are some side trails that a full size dont have a prayer,(very narrow)I get mine through with about an inch on the sides to spare.. now thats fun. The trails are the Little Manistee,Tin Cup..the other the name escapes me,Tin Cup is probly the trickiest near the power lines, mine is stock and I can get through(tricky but possible)and there doing some logging there and the trails are pretty rutted.
Little Manistee is about 41 miles in a circle and mostly somewhat groomed.. nice for a Sunday trail drive with the family,(lots of wildlife there for the kids to see)my kids get a kick out of it. The pic i took..(in my links)are on Manistee after about 4 in of snow. Or if the dont work I can send you some

I finally got my pictures developed from when Nick, his friend, and I went to gladwin last fall. Once I get them scanned in, I'll post them.
