Shackels

How do you put shackel on. I did a search but found no directions. Thanks in advance. Also everyone is saying they will flatten your springs out. How much faster will this happen. I know they flaten anyway, just woundering how much this will spead that up.

Re: Shackels

Shackles will just replace your current ones. You'll have to remove the springs from the stock shackles (without getting yourself killed), remove the old shackles, and then put the shackles on the leaf, then the frame (without getting yourself killed! As far as flattening the springs, I think you're right. But it would depend on your wheeling... we could be talking like months before they are "supposed" to flatten out, or years! I don't have a straight answer for you on that!

Re: Shackels

So I just unbolt the old and replace with the new, but do I need to do anything special with the spring to stop the from killing me or just unbolt the old and put the new on. What can happen? Will the sping decompress?

Re: Shackels

jack the rear of your truck up enough so that the tires barely touch the ground. Jack it from the frame not the axle. When you put the new ones on raise it higher so that the spring will drop down lower.
