I have a 84 S-10 blazer 4 speed. It seems that every time I put it into second or fourth gear it seems to slip every time i let off of the gas

Re: gear trouble

If you have a body lift on it the reason it slips out is because the shift boot is bunched up what i did to correct this is to take the console up and slide it forward toward the seat about an inch and drill new holes to mount it back to the 4 tabs that it bolts to... if you have a problem with the 4wd shifter going into 4 low or hard to get in 2wd then cut a 2.5in by 2.5 inch square out of your floor board in front of the shift towards the dash.... if you have any questions let me know.......
