4.3 l block

Does anyone know if there are any differences between a 4.3 liter chevy marine block and the standard 4.3liter chevy truck block? I bought a bare 4.3 liter block (had been in an astro van) to replace a cracked block in my boat. The boat engine had very few hours so i had planned on using the crank, rods and roller cam from the old boat engine.

Re: 4.3 l block

If there are many differences I think it would be something to the effect of intake setups and maybe even distributor locations. To be honest I didn't know that there WAS a 4.3 liter marine engine...

How do you get the boat into a smog station to run on that treadmill??? just kidding...

Re: 4.3 l block

From what i have seen the blocks are the same - but the marine heads are way better then most the 4.3 offerings

I have a set of marine heads for my toyota that out flow the ported stockers i have- alotta work just to get the stockers to flow what little air they did - then the marine ones blew them away unported!
