York compressor

Has anyone installed a York air compressor (for airing up tires) on a 4.3 vortex engine?

Re: York compressor

Looked into it but could not find room and don't want to rid the AC or ABS yet.. Custom bracket for sure just where to put it is the question.. When I go SFA the ABS will be gone and will open tons of room..

Re: York compressor

I used my AC compressor and it works awesome. I will have a writeup one of these days. Yorks are just too big, bulky, and are'nt at home on a 4.3. The stock R4 compressor does the job, and it actually fits. Thats my $.02

Re: York compressor

How do you lubricate the R4 Compressor when its set up as a tire inflator? There usually is Oil added to the freon but that obviously wouldnt work if there is no freon.

You put an automatic oiler in the intake line for it, that'll allow it to draw in some oil as it draws in the air to keep it lubed.
