2nd gen bed on a 1st?

Hey guys, just wondered since rust free pre-94 beds are getting harder to come by if a 1994 S-10 bed would bolt onto an 82-93 frame? I know it won't line up or look right, but I can get it CHEAP! If the cab lines up i may buy it also! I almost bought a '98 Sonoma tailgate in MC for $40, but I didn't know if it would fit my '89. Now that I did some measuring it looks like it would have. It seems that the 94 and up sheetmetal is better galvanized or something. Tell me what you think. A.Smith
