info on the SFA

I haven't checked the links in a while but I was wondering if there was any more info on SFA swaps for the s10's. I looked at the stage west conversion but I don't like the axles from the Jeep YJ. I would like to go with a Dana 44. Is anyone trying to work this out? I am sick of installing ball joints every 4 months. Also here's a pic of my last time out muddin.

Re: info on the SFA

Yes. I'd say you're a prime candidate for an SFA swap. Have you considered the 66-77 F*rd Bronco axle swap? The other BBS boards have had a lot of SFA swap talking with MArk HAll, the guy with the BIG red '89 with Bronco axles and 38's you see all the time. Yes, we all agree the Stage West kit is NOT for a serious Off-Roader like yourself. A few people have taken the bull by the horns and are designing their own SFA swaps, myself included. My '85 will likely never be street legal with its full size axles, but I didn't build it to be. I am using Wrangler leaves in front and S-10 springs in the rear. IMHO the leaf spring front is as easy as it gets, compared to the radius arms and associated linkages and spring rates with the Bronco setup. Then again mine is setup for Off-raod only, your's may not be.
Good luck.
