Resetting Service Engine Soon Light

My service engine soon light comes on now and then, I've had it checked out and know why it's doing it and it's no big deal, however I don't want to keep paying someone to reset the light. I've heard you can pull the ECM fuses for about 20 seconds and that would reset it? Does this work and if so, can someone tell me where they're located? I have a 98 Chevy S 10 4x4 pickup truck. Thanks for any help you can give!

Re: Resetting Service Engine Soon Light

to reset any service light all you have to do is disconnect the battery and reconnect... i wouldn't mess with the ecm fuses because that controlls your air/fuel ratio, timing, thp, ect the computer accually learns the type of driver you are(if your the main one) and shifts controlls over that way, so if your a throtal jocky then it prolongs shift points for better perfomance, if you are a gas saver then it short shifts to increase gas miliage.

hope I helped
