ABS Causing Sinking Brake Pedal

I was driving to work this morning and the roads were iced over. When I went to stop, I could hear and feel the ABS pumping the brakes, and as it kept pumping, the brake pedal would sink lower and lower. After a couple of seconds, I had to pump the brakes once to bring the pedal back up. I don't think this is normal. The brakes were working normally before and after this happened. The brake pads, shoes, calipers, wheel cylinders, and master cylinder have all been replaced in the last six months, and I just bled the brakes two days ago. Any thoughts? The truck in question is a 1993 Jimmy.

Re: ABS Causing Sinking Brake Pedal

You've either got air in the line or a leak. If no leaks, then bleed again.

Re: ABS Causing Sinking Brake Pedal

sounds like a leak or air...check all the connections and clamps..they could be the culprit..

Just a thought...
