New TOY!

Hello, all. Remember the S-10 with the 2.8 I told you about for cheap. Well, I just got it home, and its got quite a few options, including 4.11s, 20 gallon tank, full skidplates, inter. wipers, cruise, tilt, air, HD shocks. I was very surprised to see these gears in a 2.8/5 speed truck. Even with 31x10.50x15s I had to shift to 5th at 40 to keep the engine from over-revving. The truck is surprisingly rust free, with some trail damage. No wonder its on its 3rd engine!
WHat suggestions for a new engine do you have, a 3.4? Not bad for $500 eh?
The engines got a little blowby and a rod starting to knock a little, but still runs & drives. I've gotta get a starter and a wheel stud and a few other little things, but its 90% like it was in 85.

Actually, with the 3" body lift they only rub the running boards which I ditched today. This thing will pull a house with these gears! If I put another 2.8 in it, I may go 33's just to keep the revs down. Or, I have a set of 38.5"
Ground Hawgs around here somewhere, but I doubt the axles or the engine would like those to well.

Re: 4.11s in an 85 S-10

Alright, I plan on running 33's now after cutting the fenders and a sus. lift. This combined with the right wheels should be excellent. My next question is, will a 2.5L 4 cylinder bolt up to the T-5? I need an engine that will make higher RPM torque and HP. What about newer 60 degree v-6's? I'll need a good cam and a beefy bottom end, probably bored .030 over. So, what ideas do you ahve for me? Thanks in advance.
