87 BLAZER HELP

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I CAN MOUNT A WINCH WITH OUT A NEW BUMPER IF ANY ONE HAS A IDEA HOW I CAN DO THIS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THANKS

Thats a good question.I havent seen one yet ,but for mine im going to invest in a portable..I made one before..useing very thick cast iron with a winch bolted to it..a loop welded on the back side for a chain connection to one truck and hook the cable to the other only thing that would bee most helpful is tow hooks .
It's a little primitive but the damn think works great in a pinch and can be (sometimes more useful) because it can be carried from truck to truck.

O ya for the power aspect... bolt the power termanals from the late model GM ( and must be insolated )and jumper cables. Yup and (Primitive as can be)...

A front mounted hitch is a possibility, that way you could remove it or switch it to the rear. Search the winch makers web sites for ideas. I found this: http://www.superwinch.com/swgrill.htm
