I really need to get to some rust on the bottom of my bed before it gets too bad. Im curious , I have never removed the Bed. How many buddies will I need to call up to lift it? I am guessing it weighs about 360-400lbs? Is it hard to reallign? Any help greatly appreciated. -Nitrous

Re: Bed removal on a 92 S10

That beds on little trucks are light as he1l. 2 guys can pick it up it with no problem, but a third guy should help balance it so you don't scratch the paint.
Hell, me and my brother lifted the 8' bed of the '72 3/4 with my dad helping balance it. I thought I was gonna bust a gut doing that though.

On a '92 I'm guessing the bolts should come out. We did have to use the big blue wrench on the '86 and '72 to get some of the bolts out. Putting it back on is easy, no problems lining it up.

Hit? Them tires rub. Rubbin's off roadin.
