S-10 Air Intakes

I'm wondering if anyone has tried either the Airaid or K&N cold air intakes. What are your opinions?

Re: S-10 Air Intakes

Like mine but I think you can make one yourself a ton cheaper.. Get a large cone filter.. Some 3" dia tube, thin walled and some hose and clamps to go over the ends.. Goto http://s10-4x4.com/Beach/index.shtml#start and on his pulldown menu there is a make it yourself article to get you started..

Re: S-10 Air Intakes

I recently bought the K&N Fuel Injector Performance Kit for my 95 Blazer S-10 4dr. 4.3L Auto. 4x4. It is basically a plastic tube with a big cone type air cleaner at the end of it. Works great, real pick up in off the line accelaration. Sounds like muscle too! I also have the Borla Cat-back exhaust which probably is a big factor in the performance and sound as well.

Re: S-10 Air Intakes

Yeah i made one with peices i found in a junk yard and some pieces of what was there, also some claps and fittings fromt the pipe section at the hardware store. I put a 4x8 cyclindrical filter on it. And yah it makes it sound mean when its coming. And it is really cool with my cowel induction hood. People love it when i hit the gas. LOL have fun good luck
