Valvoline \"Max Life\" Opinions

Has anyone used Vavoline Max Life Engine Oil? I'm due for an oil change & I'm wondering if this stuff works as advertised.

(To Sandman: Yes, I did use a descriptive title.)

Thank you for the descriptive title... That'll make it way easier to find later on when it slips farther down the list...

And what is Valvoline Max Life oil supposed to do? Haven't seen any commercials about it...

Tim,

It is specially designed for higher mileage engines. Costs a little bit more, Ive never actually tried it myself. But from what I hear it is pretty awesome.

Re: Valvoline \"Max Life\" Opinions

Yeah, it supposedly conditions your old valve seals and keeps them from leaking
into the combustion chamber. I think mine have had it, though. Good idea for an oil though if it works.

Re: Valvoline \"Max Life\" Opinions

Okay, I've had this stuff in for one oil change and it didn't mess up my engine. I don't know if I've really seen any difference between it and and regular, non-synth, oils though.

Re: Valvoline \"Max Life\" Opinions

i suppose you could tell if it did anything if you truck burned a little oil before the oil change, then doesn't burn as much/any since the oil change...
