sluggish jimmy

I have an 88 Jimmy 4x4 which runs great when cold, but dies as it warms up. It sputters and backfires
out the TBI when warm, I can't figure it out. I've given it a complete tune up, new spark plug wires, new coil,
changed the TBI unit, i've changed almost all the sensers from my donor truck. But nothing works. I've had quite a few people look at it, and a mechanic friend spent a whole saturday on it. Still nothing. I read that they similar symptoms occur when the prom goes, so I changed the computer....still nothing...any help with this would be greatly appreatiated.

I did check the EGR, and the diaphram moves easily.

Re: sluggish jimmy

Did you test the EGR valve? It might not be opening/closing properly? You should be able to test that with a standard vacuum applicator (gauge gun or something).
