Oil Filter Bracket

I have z '91 S10 BLAZER, I have found that there is a steady stream of oil coming from the bracket where the Oil filter would be located on a 2WD model, I took apart the apparatus and purchased a new o-ring and a new gasket, is there anything else that I should check to make sure that that is the only thing that is wrong?

Re: Oil Filter Bracket

I'm assuming you're talking about the 4x4 remote oil filter lines? I busted mine at the front of it when I hit something a while ago. What a pain!!!

There should only be the metal grommets going into each side of the filter lines. And they don't need to be torqued down too much. You'll just need to check and make sure that the line is not physically cut; that aluminum can slash up and you'll just end up underneath the truck again!

And make sure the bolt goes into the mounts straight!!!
