Bushing removal

What's the best tool to use to remove upper control arm bushings? If a special tool. Where to find and best price.

Re: Bushing removal

You can have any machine shop press the old ones out and press the new ones in for a few dollars most likely, check the yellow pages and call around. Much cheaper than buying a press. You can buy a hydraulic press. I saw a tool in Pep Boys that sold something like that, but it wasn't hydraulic. It's for u joints, and I believe bushings. I doubt you could use a vise for those, but you might try, with a big socket that fits outside it, and one that fits inside it. You'd need a considerably big vise to do that though... But I'd try the machine shops in the area before anything else...

Re: Bushing removal

It is MUCH much safer to go and have it done, and they don't take too long to press in and out the bushings... just my .000000000000002 cents...
