digital dash S-15

I have a 90 GMC S-15 pickup. The digital dash does not work. Nothing in the cluster works including the lights. Does anybody have any experience with this problem, or know how/where I could get it fixed? Also how much to expect to pay. I heard that the dealer wants 700. for the part. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: digital dash S-15

well, i have had a few problems with mine...best thing to do is take it out check your connections and clean it all up... make sure your plug is getting power, or the thing could just be shot. i think you can have it refubished at napa for like $500.

Re: digital dash S-15

I bought a 91 blazer 4dr the dash didn`t work. The only thing that worked was the odometer. The problem was the dash was bad,it seems when they get a lot of miles or kilometers they burn out(mine had 259,000K)I bought a used one that had been refurbished for 100.00.It seemsa like they are pretty hard to get used ones. Here in Canada GM charges $450.00 exchange

Re: digital dash S-15

Would you consider changing your cluster to a anolog? If you are interested, I saw a post a few days ago that said that it is a simple proceedure, and it is a lot more reliable. Hope this is helpful.

Re: digital dash S-15

I saw it onthe S-10 4x4.com BBS. It was under the electrical section at the bottom of the page. The guys E-mail that did the conversion is there. I'll add it also. [email protected] It sounds like an easy fix. Hope this helps
