Blazer Leather Bucket Seats in a Pickup

I have a set of leather buckets from a 4 door Blazer in my '91 S10 4x4 pickup. The problem is that the backs of the seats can't be leaned forward to gain access to stuff like my jack behind the seats. The previous owner is who did this conversion and he said it was because the seats from 4 door Blazers had something preventing them from going forward since you really wouldn't need them to. The guy he bought the seats from said it is easy to fix that so you can lean them forward, but of course, he can't remember how it's done. Does anyone have a clue how I might do this?

If you can take a look at the microfisch (sp?) and see the exploded view of the seat this might help you.. See dealers are usefull for something..

Yes. The dealer should have all the info you need. Some of us with 2 door Blazers would like this, as the seatbelt is the only thing keeping you from kissing the windshield on a panic stop! Its probably something blocking the hinge at the bottom of the seat from working.

Re: Blazer Leather Bucket Seats in a Pickup

You could get the seat recline mechanism from a 2door, they will allow the seat to lean forward. They are only held in by 4 bolts. You can try and see if they are the same part number as the factory seat for your truck.?
