Transfer case blues
Hey guys. I was driving home from work the other day and I started hearing a squeaking sound, like a u-joint maybe. So today I was greasing them and changing
the 90W in the diffs, and I couldn't get the joints to make a sound. I had the truck in neutral, and I rotated the rear drive shaft clockwise, and there was the noise again, coming from the transfer case! Then I rotated the d/shaft counterclockwise, and nothing. The case is also where I get the clunk on the downshift to 1st(700R-4). Is this the slack in the chain? or a internal problem in the t-case. Oh, BTW I installed the Posi-Lock 4wd system and I run with the hubs locked in most of the time. Any suggestions?
